Opportunities
If you have a strong background in engineering, mathematics or a related area and would like to apply for a DPhil (PhD), please contact me to discuss possible projects and funding sources. All formal applications must go through the Oxford Postgraduate Admissions system.
The deadline to apply for a start in October in 2026 falls on the 2nd of December 2025, at 12:00 UK time: please contact me as soon as possible if interested in working with me.
I am affiliated with the EPSRC-funded Centre for Doctoral Training in Autonomous Intelligent Machines and Systems (AIMS). The chances of obtaining funding through the CDT improve the earlier you apply. There are other funding sources available, primarily through departmental or project-sponsored fellowships. Some specific funding sources offered by Oxford University are:
- The Oxford Clarendon Fund – for anyone.
- Rhodes Scholarships – for various nationalities.
There are also various funding sources for postdoctoral fellowships.
Undergraduates
I am not able to accept undergraduate students from outside of Oxford for summer internships.
